The Sri Lanka - France Business Council of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce hosted its Members’ Day Evening for the second consecutive year, graciously hosted by the Ambassador of France H.E. Rémi LAMBERT at his residence.
In his remarks, the Ambassador reaffirmed that France remains a reliable partner in supporting Sri Lanka’s economic recovery. He emphasised France’s intention to extend its support across multiple sectors, beginning with the maritime sector, which is a key area of focus for France.
SLFBC President Andre Fernando expressed his appreciation to the Ambassador for hosting the event. He also conveyed gratitude to France for its continued support towards Sri Lanka’s economic recovery. Reflecting on the Council’s activities over the past year, he highlighted its strong focus on tourism promotion, including the visit of French rugby legend Serge BETSEN. His presence aimed to promote Sri Lanka as an attractive tourist destination to the French market, further amplified by accompanying French media coverage during his visit.
The event drew a significant gathering of members, distinguished invitees, and Embassy officials, providing an excellent platform for networking and fellowship.
