Schools in Deniyaya education zone to reopen tomorrow

Schools in the Deniyaya Education Zone, which were temporarily closed last Thursday due to a flu outbreak affecting around 56 students, are scheduled to reopen tomorrow (13).

The decision was made during a meeting yesterday (11), chaired by the Governor of the Southern Province.

Southern Province Education Secretary Nishantha Pathirana confirmed that a health-safe environment has been established in the affected schools, with renewed emphasis on hygiene practices, especially regarding water usage.
