Royal College Old Boys’ East Coast Foundation welcomes newly appointed Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations H.E. Jayantha Jayasuriya (PC)
The Royal College Old Boys’ East Coast Foundation warmly welcomed the newly appointed Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations, H.E. Jayantha Jayasuriya, PC, at a special gathering held in New York, United States. The evening, hosted by Mr. Rushdhun Ramzy, Past President of the Foundation, took place at Lungi South Indian & Sri Lankan Restaurant in Manhattan. The occasion brought together a distinguished group of past presidents, committee members, and foundation members in celebration of the organization’s long-standing commitment to service, fellowship, and tradition. During the event, Mr. Vajira Gunawardene (Past President) and Mr. Ravi Karunaratne (Founding Member & Past President) reflected on the remarkable contributions of the Foundation over the past 30 years. They also acknowledged the invaluable support of major benefactors, including Mr. Prashanth Wijeyadasa (Dini Communications) and Dr. Sukumar Nagendran, whose generous contributions continue to strengthen the Foundation’s efforts both in the United States and Sri Lanka. The evening was marked by camaraderie, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to furthering the Foundation’s mission of giving back to the community.
