31A trend setter in the local hospitality sector, Royal Classic Tennekumbura Kandy will hold a special Christmas cake mixing ceremony event with the differently able children to provide them a live cooking experience with their award winning chefs of the hotel on November 24. This initiative is being conducted jointly with the Rotary Club of Kandy.
These children will also be provided meals and other entertainment in the hotel, said General Manager of Royal Classic Resort, R. Jeyapradhap.
The hotel also adopted novel marketing techniques launching several music videos deploying the staff highlighting the hotel and some social issues which were the firsts for the local hotel industry.
The kitchen department of the Royal Classic Kandy underlining their supremacy also excelled at the recently concluded Kandy 2024 culinary championships winning a record number of 24 medals at the event.
These included two gold medals, five silver medals and 18 bronze medals.
