Prime has been recognized for its contribution towards attracting significant Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to Sri Lanka through real estate, at Honor Roll & Business Awards 2026 presented by Australia Sri Lanka Business Council (ASLBC), marking another milestone in its three-decade journey of taking Sri Lankan real estate to the global stage.
The ceremony was held on 5th October 2026 at Pullman Melbourne on the Park, Melbourne, in the presence of The Right Honourable Lord Mayor Nicholas Reece, Her Excellency Yasoja Gunasekara, High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Australia and Ms. Dilkie Perera, President of the Australia Sri Lanka Business Council. It acknowledges Prime Group’s efforts to promote Sri Lanka as a destination for real estate investments and connect overseas Sri Lankans and international investors with opportunities in the local real estate sector.
Prime has stood at the forefront of Sri Lanka’s real estate industry, shaping its evolution through bold innovation, industry-defining benchmarks and a relentless commitment to excellence. As one of Sri Lanka’s largest listed real estate company, with an award-winning legacy, Prime continues to set the benchmark for the industry while creating enduring value and confidence for generations of investors.
Commenting
on the recognition, Premalal Brahmanage, Chairman of Prime Group, said:
“For the past three to four years, Prime has been on a clear mission to take
Sri Lankan real estate to the world. We have consistently said that Sri Lanka
can export real estate and today, we are turning that vision into reality. This
recognition is a reflection of the growing impact of that effort, bringing
valuable foreign currency into Sri Lanka through the sale of our properties to
international investors. This is not limited to Australia; our reach extends
across the UK, Canada, USA, GCC and markets around the world. More recently,
Prime Marina 1 and Prime Marina 2 have marked a significant milestone in this
journey, demonstrating the potential of Sri Lankan real estate to compete on a
global stage. We are proud to be creating properties in Sri Lanka that attract
international investment and, in doing so, contribute to the country’s economic
growth.”
“The tremendous success of Prime’s recent Australia and New Zealand tour with our Brand Ambassadors, Bathiya & Santhush (BNS) was yet another strong testament. Its engagement with the Sri Lankan diaspora, prospective international investors across major cities such as Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Christchurch, Aukland etc. demonstrated the vision of taking Sri Lankan music industry to the globe. For us, this is more than entertainment; it is about Prime transforming global connections into global investment opportunities and value for Sri Lanka” stated Sandamini Perera, Co-Chairperson, Prime Group.
The recognition comes as Prime continues to expand its international presence and showcase Sri Lankan real estate to wider global audience.
