Prime Group unveils innovative Public-Private collaboration initiative to enhance Government service excellence

Prime Group, Sri Lanka's leading real estate group, has launched a pioneering Business-to-Government CSR initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration between local authorities and the private sector. The innovative program through a series of workshops to be conducted islandwide, is developed in partnership with the Federation of Sri Lanka Government Authorities (FSLGA), focusing on empowering Government officers through capacity development in specialized training and knowledge sharing.

The undertaking commenced with the inaugural session on February 19th at the Gampaha Municipal Council Auditorium. Senior officials present from the Gampaha Municipal Council included Lochana Balasooriya, Commissioner, Facilitator of the program Udana Weerasinghe, Investigation Officer, Central Province and other officers. Representatives from Prime Group also participated in the landmark program. Following the launch, the program will extend to seven other key municipal councils across Sri Lanka.

Lochana Balasooriya, stated, “We are grateful to Prime Group for their commitment to building a collaborative bridge between the private sector and local authorities. The innovative series will enhance government service delivery. The capacity building, specialized training and knowledge sharing that our officers have received contribute to a more efficient and productive workflow benefiting industries and all sectors.” 

Prime Group’s roadmap heralds a commitment to building stronger public-private partnerships and enhancing service excellence in the real estate sector. During the program, Municipal Council officials were briefed on Local Government Law, financial rules and regulations. Providing specialized training and resources to government officers, the Prime Group aims to contribute to a more efficient and transparent government services. The comprehensive program includes expert-led training workshops, provision of essential resources, and logistical support for participating government officers.

Through Prime Group's heartfelt CSR program, public officials will be equipped with specialized training and modern methodologies, establishing more efficient workflows. These capacity building sessions will benefit all industries and create a more favourable local governance ecosystem.
