Praneeth Lasantha made history for Sri Lanka by securing the silver medal at the 2025 Universal Massage Championship in Thailand, marking the country’s first-ever podium finish in an international massage competition. He arrived at Katunayake Airport last night (02) after his remarkable achievement.

The prestigious tournament, organized by the World Massage Federation, was held in Chiang Rai, Thailand, from February 26 to 28, with 80 competitors from 21 countries participating.

Competing in the Spa and Wellness category, Praneeth Lasantha secured the runner-up position, earning international recognition for Sri Lanka in the field of massage therapy.
