Now delivering: Uber Eats expands to Badulla, Bandarawela & Ella

Uber Eats is now live across Badulla, Bandarawela and Ella, bringing the convenience of delivery to a region known for its Ceylon tea and landmarks such as Ella’s iconic Nine Arch Bridge. Locals and tourists can now enjoy their favourite meals - from a comforting rice and curry meal, to short eats, or their morning coffee - delivered right to their doorstep. The expansion marks Uber Eats’ third district launch this year, following Nuwara Eliya and Ratnapura.

With Uber Eats now available, consumers can discover and order from a growing range of local restaurants and neighbourhood favourites across the district. In Ella, one of Sri Lanka’s most popular tourist destinations, the service will also give domestic and international visitors greater choice and convenience during their stay, while helping restaurants cater to a wider base of customers.

The launch supports the local community by enabling merchants to reach more customers through the Uber Eats platform, while creating flexible earning opportunities for delivery partners. For businesses, particularly those serving Badulla’s growing tourism economy, the platform provides another avenue to grow their business and benefit from increasing demand for online delivery.
