Next Generation Takes the Runway at CFW 2026

Day 1 of Colombo Fashion Week Summer 2026 opened with the Emerging Designers showcase, highlighting a new generation of Sri Lankan talent stepping onto a structured industry platform. Designers including Arsath Furkhan, Aysha Faizer, Ishara Liyanage, Jayangani Seneviratne, Naduni Katuwandeniya, Ranepura, Prabadhi Bandara, Nilupa Weerakoone, Shavindi Wijesooriya, Tharani Gunawardene, and Thisaru Fernando presented collections developed through CFW’s mentorship programme. The showcase reflected Colombo Fashion Week’s continued focus on creating an entry point for emerging designers, enabling them to translate creativity into viable design-led careers while contributing to the evolution of Sri Lanka’s fashion identity.
