Vice-Captain of Sri Sumangala College, Panadura, Neksha Iddamalgoda had the honour of completing 1,000 runs for the current Inter-Schools Under-19 cricket season.
The right-hand middle order batsman was in tremendous form and was a prolific run-getter for his team in the Under-19 Division One Tier ‘B’ Cricket Tournament.
He struck a career-best 200 not out against St. Sylvester’s College and hammered two centuries against Isipathana College (110) and Moratu MV (136) in the 74th Battle of the Golds Big Match.
Neksha also scored fifties against St. Sebastian’s College, Katuneriya (56), Ananda College (86), Thurstan College (62) and Moratu MV (54 n.o) and was selected as the Under-19 Best Batsman by the Kalutara District Cricket Association.
