Continuing its dedication to fostering female entrepreneurship, NDB Bank, under its Banking on Women platform, the NDB Araliya proposition, successfully conducted a skill development program on business excellence through digitalisation and export orientation for women entrepreneurs in the Central Region. Held at the Kandy City Centre (KCC), the forum was designed to enhance the business acumen of female entrepreneurs by providing them with critical insights and strategies for navigating the current economic landscape.
The event, conducted in Sinhala language, attracted approximately 40 female participants. This region was selected due to its dynamic and growing entrepreneurial ecosystem, making it a key focus area for NDB’s ongoing initiatives to empower women-led businesses.
The forum featured in-depth sessions on planning a business in the current economic climate, export orientation, and digital business strategies—all crucial topics to ensure the long-term success of entrepreneurs in today's fast-evolving marketplace. In addition to expert advice and practical tools, the participants had the unique opportunity to hear success stories from NDB customers, offering real-world examples of perseverance and triumph in business.
This initiative is part of NDB’s broader commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs across Sri Lanka, with NDB Araliya focusing on providing both financial and non-financial support. Through events like this forum, NDB Bank not only offers financial solutions but also plays a pivotal role in creating an ecosystem where women entrepreneurs can thrive, innovate, and contribute to Sri Lanka's economic growth.
NDB remains steadfast in its mission to uplift the nation's female business leaders, offering tailored resources and insights that equip them to face challenges with confidence and succeed in the ever-changing economic landscape.
