Micro Enterprise appointed ‘Exclusive Distributor’ in SL and Maldives for Dvolt Electric products

Micro Enterprise and Electric Pvt Ltd in Colombo 13, has been awarded the ‘Exclusive Distributor’ for Sri Lanka and the Maldives by the one of the most sought after electric parts manufacturers and exporters of China, Dvolt Electric Limited for their range of Low Voltage products.

Micro Enterprise was awarded this authorisation over five other local companies who failed to meet the competitive sales and marketing criteria of Dvolt Electric.

“Our over 18 year unblemished sales record, high quality manufacturing facility, ISO 9001 (in 2015), ISO-14001 (in 2015) and ISO-45001 (in 2018) certifications along with the stranded of our Mumbai factory were the key factors tha t helped us to be the Exclusive Distributor for Sri Lanka,” said Chairman, Micro Enterprise, Dhammika Samarawickrama.

He said that under this Exclusive Distributor they would be only marketing low voltage electrical equipment for the industrial market that are not been manufactured in Sri Lanka. “These products carry guarantees ranging from five years to lifetime.”

“We will also have a product range of over 180 plus items and will also have equipment for the solar power segment as well. Prices of Dvolt Electric items would be 20% less than the competitive products.”

He also said that they signed the agreement in his regard in China recently and the products would be available in both the Sri Lanka and Maldives markets from January 2025.

“We will also look at assembling some of these products locally very soon at our Colombo 13 factory with around 30% local value addition.”

“As we are already into making electrical items we do not have reinvestment for large machinery again and can continue this assembly operation with some modifications.”

“When this is done we can further reduce the price to the customs.”
