Media Mahagedara graduation ceremony held at the University of Colombo

The "Media Mahagedara Mauli Mangalya" graduation ceremony was recently held at the University of Colombo to recognise students who successfully completed the TV and Radio Announcement Training Courses at Media Mahagedara Academy of Media & Arts, Sri Lanka’s leading media school, renowned for its expert faculty and industry professionals. During the ceremony, certificates were awarded to students who completed the Children’s / Youth Television and Radio New Media Announcement and Speech Training Courses across Media Mahagedara branches in Matara, Galle, Kottawa, Gampaha, Kurunegala, Kandy, and Ratnapura. Notably, 20 students from each branch received medals in the categories of Best Television Programme Presentation and Television News Presentation.

The event was attended by Ven. Rajakeeya Pandita Halmillakulame Sujathagnana Thera, and several other distinguished guests including Senior Lecturer at the University of Colombo and Senior Advisor to Media Mahagedara Dr. Ranjith Senanayake, Senior Advisors to Media Mahagedara and senior journalists Ariyasiri Vithanage and Thilaka Ranasinghe, and veteran journalists Darshana Maldeniya, Buddhika Weliwita, Mahinda Bibile, Shara Hansi Perera, Asanka Welegama, Niroshan Malinda Bandara, and Jayani Wimalasooriya. Also in attendance were Human Capacity Development Consultant Dishan Thilakshana, Psychologist Anoma Geeganage, Dr. Maheshi Ganegedara, and Managing Director of Media Mahagedara, veteran journalist Lakshan Manuranga. A special highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of senior journalists Ariyasiri Vithanage and Thilaka Ranasinghe, honouring their remarkable 50-year contribution to the media sector.
