Plans are underway to introduce the Metro Urban Luxury Transport bus service in Kandy in 2027, Deputy Minister Prasanna Gunasena has announced.

Preliminary planning began today(15) with a trial run to assess potential routes and operational requirements.

The exercise focused on identifying suitable routes, determining bus specifications and assessing possible bus stop locations ahead of the planned launch next year.
