The second Culinary Champions competition held at Sahas Uyana, Kandy recently concluded with overwhelming success and over 470 chefs competed in 17 categories.
The event was organised by Lanka Exhibition and Conference Services (Pvt) Ltd, an award-winning event management company, with the endorsement and support of the Kandy Hoteliers Association, the Nuwara Eliya Hoteliers Association and the Cultural Triangle Hoteliers Association.
The Culinary Champions competition was judged by a panel headed by veteran competition organiser Chef Alan Palmer. Chefs Rohan Fernandopulle, Patrick Buttgereit, Hasitha Indika, Priyal Wijesuriya, Priyantha Weerasingha, Chef Joodhy Khalid (Maldives), Abdul Rasheed (Maldives) witnessed the extraordinary spectacle that surpassed other culinary competitions held in the district. The professionally organised competition lasted three full days with over 50 hotels participating.
