Kandy SC cruised to a convincing 27-17 win over Army SC in their Clifford Cup Knock-Out Inter-Club Rugby Tournament quarter-final match played at the Nittawela Stadium in Kandy yesterday.
It was a game of high intensity and grit, with both sides pushing their limits from the first whistle.
Kandy SC, the recently crowned runners-up of the A-Division League (Cup Category), displayed their trademark dominance on home turf to secure the win.
On the other side, Army SC put up a massive fight, showing incredible resilience and keeping the contest neck-and-neck until the very end.
It was a stellar display of rugby by both teams to ignite the knock-out spirit.
In the other quarter-final fixture, Havelock SC defeated Police SC 29-10 at Havelock Park.
