HUTCH & Browns EV Launch country’s 1st Loyalty Programme Offering Discounts on EV purchase and charging on ChargeUP network

HUTCH and Browns EV struck an exciting new partnership, introducing Sri Lanka’s first-ever Electric Vehicle discount programme riding on the HUTCH Cheer Points customer loyalty scheme. Customers can redeem loyalty points for exclusive discounts on selected EV models, including the Wuling Cloud, Wuling Binguo, BAW E7, and BAW E7 Pro, with savings based on membership tiers ranging from Silver to Diamond. Browns EV, the electric vehicle arm of Brown & Company PLC, is the authorized distributor of Wuling and BAW electric vehicles in Sri Lanka.

To further strengthen the sustainable mobility space, HUTCH has also partnered with ChargeUP to reward EV owners with cashback on charging sessions at ChargeUP stations nationwide. The universal EV charging network supports all EV brands and offers convenient access through the ChargeUP mobile app. These partnerships mark another milestone for the fast-growing Cheer Points programme, extending rewards beyond lifestyle, entertainment, and retail into the automotive and mobility sectors.

Pavithra Jayasekara, Executive Director of Browns EV, said, “This partnership with HUTCH represents a progressive step in making electric mobility more accessible to a wider segment of Sri Lankan consumers. By connecting the value of customer loyalty with the opportunity to own an electric vehicle, we are creating a proposition that is both rewarding and meaningful.”

Hamdhy Hassen, Chief Marketing Officer, HUTCH Sri Lanka, said, “Sustainability is something we back with real value for our customers, embedding it into people’s daily actions. By enabling customers to redeem Cheer Points for EV discounts, we are supporting Sri Lanka’s households in their big step into sustainable mobility, enabling savings for their households, whilst also building a greener Sri Lanka.”

This strategic move reflects the broader sustainability commitment of HUTCH’s parent company, CK Hutchison Holdings, which supports environmental responsibility and lower-carbon business practices across its global operations. Through its sustainability efforts, CK Hutchison focuses on climate action, decarbonization and resource efficiency. In Sri Lanka, HUTCH is bringing this commitment closer to the country and customers through unique partnerships with Browns EV and ChargeUP, making electric vehicle ownership and charging more rewarding and accessible.
