Huawei's E-band microwave product RTN 3800 has won the 2026 iF Design Award and Red Dot Design Award for its innovative all-in-one design and exceptional performance. Judges recognized the solution for its site simplicity, 12.5 Gbps ultra-large capacity, and elevated high-reliability transmission, capabilities that are key to efficient 5G deployment and network stability.

The dual wins confirm Huawei's leading position in product design and technological innovation in the global microwave industry.

The RTN 3800 is an E-band outdoor microwave system that integrates baseband and RF modules into a single box to reduce installation footprint. Widely deployed by operators, it is popular because of two key traits:

• Large capacity: The product provides a maximum capacity of 12.5 Gbps, a considerable boost from the 10 Gbps average among similar products, reducing costs per bit by 25%.
• High reliability: This product has been comprehensively upgraded from its previous E-band generation in transmit power, adaptive modulation, and adaptive channel bandwidth to deliver excellent network stability.
