HNB Life unveils ‘Jeevithayata Piyapath’ brand song

Marking yet another milestone in its 25-year journey, HNB Life officially launched its new brand song, transforming the much-loved jingle from its landmark ‘Wings for Life’ campaign into a full-length song. The song was aired on the grand stage of Voice Teens Sri Lanka, the local edition of the internationally acclaimed entertainment franchise, making it a first-of-its-kind initiative in Sri Lanka’s insurance industry.

The ‘Wings for Life’ campaign was introduced earlier this year as part of HNB Life’s transition from HNB Assurance to HNB Life, a historic rebranding that celebrated the company’s evolution over the past 25 years. While the campaign successfully introduced a fresh identity, it was the uplifting melody and message behind the jingle that truly captured hearts across the country.
Commenting on the launch, Lasitha Wimalaratne, Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer of HNB Life said, “The most enduring brands are those that create genuine emotional connections with people. Our transformation to HNB Life was never just about changing a name or visual identity. It was about strengthening our purpose and deepening our connection with the aspirations of the people we serve. The overwhelming response to the ‘Wings for Life’ campaign showed us the power of authentic storytelling and inspired us to create something that could continue to live beyond the campaign itself”.

He further added that in today’s rapidly evolving marketplace, trust, relevance and customer engagement have become critical drivers of long-term business success.

Sharing his thoughts, Dinesh Yogaratnam, Executive Vice President / Chief Marketing Officer and Customer Experience Officer said,“Modern marketing is about creating meaningful experiences that people remember and connect with. The fantastic response to the ‘Wings for Life’ jingle provided valuable insight into the emotional connection that customers had formed with the brand. Rather than allowing the story to end with a commercial, we saw an opportunity to transform it into a lasting brand asset that would strengthen emotional affinity and further embed our purpose in the hearts and minds of Sri Lankans”.
