HNB Life supports young minds celebrating Int’l Children’s Day

In celebration of the International Children’s Day, HNB Life PLC organised a special programme for the students of NCP/ANU/TB/GL Walaswewa Viduhala, Negampaha, a school in the Anuradhapura district, creating a memorable day of learning, creativity and engagement for the students, teachers and parents alike.

The initiative was carried out as part of HNB Life’s Education Protection Pillar, one of the key focus areas of the company’s CSR strategy, dedicated to creating better learning opportunities and supporting the long-term development of future generations.

Beyond providing essential learning resources, HNB Life has also played an active role in improving access to clean water for school communities, successfully completing more than 80 water projects islandwide over the years, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to enhancing the learning environment and well-being of students.

This year’s Children’s Day initiative brought together students from Grades 1 to 5, teachers and parents, many of whom belong to agricultural communities.  The event commenced with a warm welcome, followed by an opportunity for the HNB Life employees to interact with the students. The children then enthusiastically participated in singing, dancing and drawing activities alongside their teachers, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere throughout the day.

To support the children’s educational journey, HNB Life distributed school bags, school books, stationery packs and other learning essentials. A special competition was also carried out, where the winners were rewarded with gift packs, encouraging creativity and active participation.

Recognising the important role educators play in shaping future generations, HNB Life presented gift vouchers to the school’s teachers as a token of appreciation for their dedication and commitment to education.
