Suzuki Motors Lanka Limited, a subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings PLC, has confirmed the return of Haojue Motorcycles to the Sri Lankan market, built around a simple promise to loyal riders. Your favourite GN125 is back.
The GN125 built a loyal following among Sri Lankan riders during its earlier years in the market, valued for its dependability on daily commutes and its low running costs. Its return will be joined by two newer additions to the Haojue range, the NK150 and the UHR150, giving the brand a broader line up as it re-establishes itself locally.
Haojue operates in China as a joint venture with Suzuki and has led the motorcycle industry there in both production and sales for more than two decades, a track record Suzuki Motors Lanka Limited says reinforces the brand's reputation for reliability and durability in the segment it is re-entering.
“The GN125 has a special place in the hearts of Sri Lankan riders. Bringing it back is about giving customers a motorcycle they have always trusted, now backed by the strength and service standards of Softlogic,” said Thilina Wanniarachchi, Sales Manager, Suzuki Motors Lanka Limited. “Alongside the GN125, the NK150 and UHR150 give riders more choice, and we are looking forward to displaying the full range at our showrooms soon, with pre-booking available.
The relaunch is expected to appeal to former GN125 owners looking to return to a familiar name, as well as a new generation of commuters, students and first time riders drawn to the model's reputation for durability. The NK150 and UHR150 are aimed at riders looking for a step up in performance without moving away from the dependability the Haojue name is known for.
Softlogic Automobiles said the relaunch reflects a longer term commitment to rebuilding Haojue's presence in Sri Lanka, with plans to expand the authorized dealer network islandwide in the months ahead. After sales support and access to genuine parts will remain central to the rollout, the company said, as it looks to restore rider confidence in the brand.
The relaunch adds to Suzuki Motors Lanka Limited's existing motorcycle portfolio, and reflects the wider Softlogic Group's continued investment in Sri Lanka's two wheeler market, which remains a preferred mode of transport for commuters across the island.
Further details on pricing, financing options and dealer locations are expected to be announced in the upcoming weeks.
