The FTZ Toastmasters Club has announced a landmark educational session featuring the reigning 2026 World Champion of Public Speaking, Dirceu da Silva, set to take place in Sri Lanka. Fresh off his victory at the Toastmasters International Convention in Vancouver, Da Silva will be visiting the island for the District 82 Mid-year Conference.
An exclusive corporate leadership session has also been arranged specifically for executive leadership and management across Free Trade Zones. The event will be held on November 12, 2026 at the BOI auditorium strictly restricted to CEOs, General Managers, Directors, Managers, and Corporate Executives from the Katunayake Free Trade Zone and other free trade zones.The educational session offers regional corporate leaders a rare opportunity to learn directly from the world’s leading communicator. Da Silva’s presentation will focus on key corporate communication pillars: High-Impact Public Speaking: Techniques to captivate and move audiences during high-stakes presentations, Executive Communication: Delivering clear, persuasive, and decisive messages across organizational structures and Leadership Presence: Cultivating influence, authenticity, and leadership resonance in business management.
The event is organized by a dedicated committee headed by Past Area Director Eranda Solangarachchi and DTM Sudath Fernando, alongside committee member DTM Anura Perera (based in Toronto, Canada). Special acknowledgments were also extended to District 82 Director DTM Bhathiya Hettiarachchi for supporting the initiative.
