FITCON 2026 brings fitness, wellness and longevity into focus

Sri Lanka’s premier health and wellness experience brings together more than 40 brands, interactive activities, fitness challenges and expert-led discussions at The Shoppes, City of Dreams Colombo.

FITCON 2026, supported by The Shoppes, brought together fitness enthusiasts, wellness professionals, health experts, and lifestyle brands for a full day of movement, education, recovery, and exploration on October 17 at The Shoppes, City of Dreams Sri Lanka, Colombo. With more than 40 interactive experiences across three floors, the event gave visitors a chance to explore the evolving health and wellness landscape through activities, expert discussions, and product showcases.

Presented by FITCON in collaboration with Fit.lk and Haut Monde Event Management, the event returned for its second edition following the success of FITCON 2025, Burn & Brunch in October 2025 and Luxe Active Edit, Sri Lanka’s premier activewear showcase, held in June 2026. Together, these initiatives have helped establish FITCON as a growing platform connecting fitness, nutrition, recovery, longevity, education and lifestyle.

FITCON is a collaboration between Treshan Weerasooriya Pereira, Founder of Haut Monde Event Management, and Fit.lk Co-founders Natasha and Isuru Fonseka. The initiative aims to broaden the conversation around health and fitness beyond conventional workouts, highlighting the importance of sustainable habits, informed choices and overall wellbeing.

Speaking about the vision behind FITCON, Treshan Weerasooriya Pereira said, “FITCON was created to bring together the many aspects of health and wellness in a way that is accessible, engaging and relevant to everyday life. Fitness is not just about exercise; it is also about nutrition, recovery, mental wellbeing and making informed decisions about our health. With FITCON 2026, we wanted to create an environment where people could experience these elements, learn from experts, discover new products and connect with a community that values healthier living.”

FITCON 2026 featured five key segments: Run & Rave, Move, Learn, Explore and Reset, each offering a different way for participants to engage with health and wellness throughout the day.

The programme began at 6.30 a.m. with Run & Rave, a DJ-led fun run through City of Dreams, powered by Under Armour and The Vibe by Abans. Sri Lanka’s first-ever DJ-led fun run, with artist Harini Silva leading an energetic morning run. Combining movement with music and a lively atmosphere, the opening activity set the tone for a day of energy, participation and community.

The Move segment featured a variety of fitness experiences, including yoga by Soul Theory, Pilates with Nufloe, a dance workout with Sandarangi, Strong by Soph and Ariel Pole with Laura. These sessions introduced participants to different forms of movement, offering opportunities to try new workouts, challenge themselves and discover the diverse fitness experiences available in Sri Lanka. By bringing together different disciplines and instructors, FITCON continued its focus on making movement fun, accessible and engaging, encouraging people to step outside their usual routines and explore something new.

Recovery and mindfulness also played an important role through the Reset segment, which featured a range of experiences at the YIVA Ceylon Wellness Village. Participants took part in breathwork with Nabeel, sound healing with Upeksha, meditation with Zehen and therapeutic art-making with Shewtha. These sessions introduced different approaches to relaxation, mindfulness and recovery, highlighting the importance of balancing physical activity with mental and emotional wellbeing.

A key highlight was the Longevity Quest, which introduced a competitive element through team-based challenges spanning movement, endurance, nutrition, recovery and health knowledge. Participants tested their abilities while exploring the different factors that contribute to long-term health and performance.

The Wellness Village, powered by YIVA Ceylon, and the marketplace brought together more than 40 health, fitness, nutrition, wellness and lifestyle brands. Visitors had the opportunity to discover new products, engage with emerging brands and explore offerings from local and international businesses.

Among the highlights were product launches, including a Creatine and Electrolyte Ice Pop in collaboration between Onyx Nutrition and Cremalato. The marketplace also featured fitness apparel, healthy food options, nutritional products and wellness-focused services, reflecting the growing diversity of Sri Lanka’s health and wellness industry.

Natasha Fonseka expressed, “We wanted FITCON to be an experience that people could connect with, regardless of where they are on their health and fitness journey. From trying a new workout or learning about nutrition to understanding recovery and longevity, there was something for everyone. We aim to make wellness more approachable and encourage people to see it as a long-term commitment rather than a short-term goal.”

Education remained central to the event through the Learn segment, which featured expert-led discussions on health, longevity, aesthetics and human potential. The sessions brought together specialist knowledge and practical perspectives, helping participants better understand developments in healthcare and the science behind healthier living.

The sexual health discussion, When Intimacy Becomes a Problem: Understanding Sexual Dysfunction in Men and Women, presented by Austin House, explored sexual health, hormones and the factors that can influence intimacy and wellbeing at different stages of life.

The Austin House Aesthetic Centre also hosted a discussion on developments in regenerative dermatology, hair restoration, skin health and body shaping. The session examined emerging approaches in aesthetic and anti-ageing medicine, offering insights into evolving treatments and the science behind skin and body health.

Another key discussion, Unlocking Human Potential, examined modern approaches to fitness and longevity through physical, psychological and social perspectives. The session explored the growing interest in biohacking, healthy ageing and strategies that may help individuals optimise their wellbeing, while highlighting the importance of evidence-based approaches.

Cardiac emergency response was another important area of focus. The ReviveX team conducted an educational session demonstrating the importance of immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) following cardiac arrest. The session highlighted how prompt CPR can significantly improve the chances of survival, reinforcing the value of basic life-support knowledge and timely intervention during medical emergencies.

Adding a digital entertainment dimension, the FITCON Valorant Championship 2026, powered by Noob Alliance, brought together eight of Sri Lanka’s top teams for an esports competition with a prize pool of Rs. 120,000.

Hosted at The Shoppes, City of Dreams Sri Lanka, FITCON 2026 was supported by a range of partners and sponsors. The Shoppes served as the location partner, providing the setting for the event’s diverse experiences across three floors. Key partners and sponsors included Under Armour, Austin House, Spinner, Onyx Nutrition, WellnessFix, Prevense, Flora and YIVA Ceylon, while Pulse was the official digital media partner. Supporting partners included Vida Medical Clinic, Revive, Xiaomi, Aroma Bliss & Fit, Lit & Lean and Chandanalepa.

Through its combination of fitness activities, wellness experiences, expert discussions, product launches, brand showcases and esports, FITCON 2026 offered a varied and engaging perspective on health and lifestyle. The event brought together different communities within the wellness industry while giving participants opportunities to learn, connect and discover new approaches to wellbeing.

FITCON is positioning itself as a platform that encourages greater awareness of the relationship between movement, nutrition, recovery and mental wellbeing. Its second edition continued this vision by bringing together industry expertise, innovative experiences and public participation to make health and wellness more accessible, engaging and enjoyable.
