FINEZ Furniture & Interior (Pvt) Ltd, one of Sri Lanka’s leading furniture and interior solutions brands, recently extended its support to the Old Thomians’ Swimming Club (OTSC) through the donation of 16 custom-crafted boardroom chairs, reaffirming the company's commitment to corporate social responsibility and community development. The donation comes as the Old Thomians’ Swimming Club celebrates its 70th anniversary, marking seven decades of brotherhood, sporting excellence, and the preservation of traditions associated with S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia. The furniture was officially handed over by Dhanushka Fernando, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FINEZ Furniture & Interior and FCV Global, during a gathering with members of the Club's Executive Committee at its premises in Mount Lavinia. The contribution is intended to enhance the Club's meeting and gathering facilities, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for its members and administrators.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhanushka Fernando, himself an Old Thomian, emphasised the importance of giving back to institutions that have played a meaningful role in shaping individuals and communities. "At FINEZ, we have always believed that the true measure of success goes beyond business growth. It is also about the positive impact we create in the communities around us. As an Old Thomian, it is particularly meaningful for me to contribute to an institution that represents decades of brotherhood, sporting excellence, and shared values. We are proud to support the Old Thomians’ Swimming Club as it celebrates 70 remarkable years," Fernando stated. The initiative reflects FINEZ's broader philosophy of building lasting relationships and contributing to institutions that promote fellowship, leadership, and community engagement. The Club's Executive Committee formally acknowledged the donation through a letter of appreciation, expressing its gratitude to Fernando and FINEZ for their generous contribution and extending its best wishes for the company's continued success. Through initiatives of this nature, FINEZ continues to demonstrate its belief that successful businesses have a responsibility not only to grow commercially but also to contribute meaningfully to the communities and institutions that shape society. As the Old Thomians’ Swimming Club celebrates its 70-year milestone, the contribution stands as a gesture of appreciation for its enduring legacy and a commitment to supporting its future.
