Sri Lanka will send its largest-ever business delegation to Gulfood 2026 in Dubai. The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) is organising a 510 square-metre pavilion for 61 companies.
The delegation comprises 28 large exporters and 33 small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). Participating firms include major names like Cargills Ceylon, Maliban Biscuit, and Ceylon Cold Stores, alongside smaller companies.
Exhibitors will showcase coconut products, processed foods, spices, tea, and ready-to-eat items. The event, featuring over 8,500 exhibitors from 195 countries, is a key sourcing platform for the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region.
Sri Lanka’s agricultural exports to the MEASA region reached $ 1.38 billion in 2024, with food and beverages accounting for $ 1.17 billion of that total. The broader Middle East and Africa food market is projected to grow at 6.5% annually through 2031.
Gulfood 2026 will be held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre and Dubai World Trade Centre.
