Dharmaraja Clinch Third Consecutive Under-14 Hockey Title

The Under-14 Inter-School Hockey Tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association was held from February 24th to 26th at the University of Peradeniya Grounds.

Competing in Group H, Dharmaraja College, Kandy delivered an outstanding performance to secure the championship title, marking their third consecutive triumph in the tournament.

Led by the talented captaincy of Santhisha Abayakoon, the team displayed excellent teamwork and determination throughout the competition. Vice-captains Sathira Vithanarachchi and Vishva Dharma Keerthi provided strong support, while Ranithu Ratnayake stood out by scoring four goals during the tournament. Tehan Rajawasam also made a notable contribution with an impressive performance.

On their path to victory, Dharmaraja defeated Maris Stella College 1-0, drew with Niyagama Vijitha  College, and recorded convincing victories against St. Benedicts College (3-0) and Rangiri Dambulla College (2-1) to seal the championship.

The team was guided by teachers-in-charge Lishanthi Sumanadasa and Chandani Weerasinghe, with coaching responsibilities handled by R. Rahim and Indika Roshan.
