CEB overcame SLPA with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, and 25-20, sealing a well-deserved victory. This triumph marks CEB’s third consecutive tournament win, following their victories at the Kottawa Open Volleyball Championship and the Nationalized Services Volleyball Championship in recent weeks.

The final was an intense battle, with CEB taking the first set comfortably at 25-19. However, SLPA fought back in the second set, winning 25-22, showcasing their attacking prowess and strong defence. In the decisive third set, CEB regained momentum, maintaining consistent attacks and solid blocking to secure the set 25-20 and claim the championship title.

National player and Sri Lanka captain, Deepthi Romesh, was named the Best Player for his exceptional all-round performance. CEB’s captain, Ayesh Perera, was awarded the Best Blocker for his dominant net play, while teammate Shehan Chamara was recognized as the Best Setter for his strategic ball distribution.

The one-day tournament, organized by Ranamayura Sports Club in Eheliyagoda, featured 12 top teams from across the island. CEB’s victory is a proof to their strong teamwork, skill, and the strategic leadership of their coach, Lalith Premalal, who has guided them to three back-to-back titles.
