The strategic forum will bring together government leaders, ICT associations, industry, academia, startups, investors, and digital economy stakeholders to move regional collaboration beyond ceremony and toward concrete joint action.
Indonesia, through APTIKNAS in collaboration with ASOCIO, will host the ASOCIO Digital & AI Summit 2026 on 5-7 October 2026 at Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue, Jakarta, Indonesia. The Summit will integrate two major regional platforms: the ASOCIO Digital Summit and the Inaugural ASOCIO AI Summit 2026, bringing together digital transformation and artificial intelligence under one strategic regional agenda.
This year’s Summit is designed not only as a high-level conference, but also as a platform for deeper regional engagement, policy exchange, industry collaboration, investment dialogue, innovation showcase, and concrete follow-up initiatives across Asia-Oceania.
One of the key strategic programmes will be the Regional Dialog titled “Building an Asia-Oceania AI Ecosystem: From National Strategies to Regional Collaboration.” Scheduled as part of the ASOCIO AI Summit on Day 3, the session will focus on AI governance knowledge sharing, talent exchange, cross-border startup and investor collaboration, cybersecurity, and responsible AI initiatives.
“Asia-Oceania has tremendous digital talent, strong industry capabilities, dynamic startup ecosystems, and fast-growing technology adoption. However, the next phase of digital and AI development requires stronger regional collaboration. Through ASOCIO Digital & AI Summit 2026, we hope to create a platform where member economies can exchange national priorities, learn from one another, and build meaningful partnerships that go beyond ceremonial engagement.”
— Mr. Stan Singh-Jit, Chairman of ASOCIO
“The AI race is becoming increasingly competitive globally. Asia-Oceania should not merely become a consumer market or a passive observer. Our region must contribute ideas, standards, solutions, talents, and responsible innovation models that reflect our own priorities and values.”
— Mr. Stan Singh-Jit, Chairman of ASOCIO
According to Karim Taslim, Chair of the Organizing Committee of ASOCIO Digital & AI Summit 2026, the Regional Dialog is being positioned as one of the most important sessions in the Summit because it aims to connect national strategies with regional execution.
“Many economies in Asia-Oceania already have their own digital and AI initiatives. The challenge now is how these initiatives can be connected, compared, strengthened, and followed up through regional collaboration. We do not want this Summit to become just another ceremonial event. We want it to become a working platform where ideas can lead to joint initiatives, partnerships, talent exchange, startup collaboration, responsible AI practices, and regional trust-building.”
— Karim Taslim, Chair of the Organizing Committee
“AI is no longer only about technology adoption. It is about competitiveness, sovereignty, trust, governance, talent readiness, industrial productivity, cybersecurity, and public impact. Asia-Oceania cannot afford to remain only as an audience, a market, or an object of global AI development. We must become active contributors in shaping the future of AI.”
— Karim Taslim, Chair of the Organizing Committee
