Currently ranked 535th in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), Reshan has proven his skill and consistency, making him one of Sri Lanka’s brightest golfing prospects.

Joining Reshan are rising stars Jacob Norton and Kaya Daluwatte. Jacob, representing Sri Lanka at an international junior event for the first time, has shown exceptional promise in recent local tournaments. The Thai Sinha Junior World Golf Open will be an important milestone in his budding career..

Kaya Daluwatte, Sri Lanka’s only female currently ranked in the WAGR, brings an impressive resume to the tournament. The 16-year-old has earned top finishes, including a 5th place at the Asia Pacific Junior Championships in the Philippines and a victory at the Nepal Open women’s amateur. With back-to-back titles in Sri Lanka and India, Kaya is setting a new standard for women’s golf in the country.

The Thai Sinha Junior World Golf Open will provide these young athletes with valuable international exposure as they compete with top junior golfers from around the globe. All eyes in Sri Lanka will be on this talented trio as they strive to bring pride and recognition to their homeland.

The tournament boasted a large field of 109 golfers from nine countries. Boys and girls will compete in Class ‘A’ and ‘B’ Categories for the Overall Title. The Championship is open to all junior golfers in all countries who have not reached their 18th birthday. Last year at the Sinha Thailand tournament, Reshan Algama and Kaya Daluwatte proudly represented Sri Lanka, both finishing in the top half of the leaderboard. Reshan secured 11th place, while Kaya finished in 19th, marking a strong performance for Sri Lanka’s junior golfers.
