Colombo Comedy Show returns with four international comedians for its 11th edition
What began as an initiative to bring people together over a few good laughs has grown into one of Colombo's most anticipated annual charity events.
The Colombo Comedy Show, organised by Colombo Taprobane Round Table 03 of Round Table Sri Lanka, returns for its 11th edition on Wednesday, 11 November 2026, at Monarch Imperial, Kotte.
This year's show brings together four international comedians for an evening of live English-language stand-up, with all proceeds going towards charity in aid of the Kids Off The Street project.
Over the past 11 years, the Colombo Comedy Show has established itself as more than just a night of entertainment. With 600+ guests attending each year, the event has become a popular fixture on Colombo's social and corporate calendar, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals and comedy fans for a night of laughter with a purpose.
This year's international line-up features Umar Rana, a Pakistani comedian based in Singapore and founder of Comedy Masala; Stephen Grant, an award-winning British comedian and compere; Elena Gabrielle, the Australian-born, Europe-based comedian who has performed more than 700 shows across 65 countries; and Jacky Ng, a Singaporean comedian and actor with more than a decade of experience in stand-up.
Speaking ahead of this year's show, Dhananchayan Sivathasan, President of Colombo Taprobane Round Table 03, said:
“The Colombo Comedy Show has become a very special part of what we do at Round Table. For 11 years, people have come together to enjoy an incredible night of comedy, but what makes it truly meaningful is knowing that the laughter helps us create a real impact in the lives of children. We are excited to bring another great international line-up to Colombo and look forward to making this year's show our most memorable yet.”
The impact of the Colombo Comedy Show extends well beyond the evening itself. Over the years, funds raised through the initiative have supported projects in education, healthcare and community development, including school resources, hospital equipment, children's facilities and other community initiatives. These include more than LKR 40 million worth of medical equipment, 40 hospital beds, 200 school bags and 5,000 calendars supporting suicide-prevention awareness.
The 11th Colombo Comedy Show begins at 7.00 PM on 11 November at Monarch Imperial, Kotte. Tickets are priced at LKR 8,000 per person, with tables of 10 available for LKR 75,000. The show will be performed in English and is intended for an adult audience. Tickets are available exclusively through PickMe Explore.
Come for the comedy. Stay for the cause.
