Sri Lanka looks to attract tourists from unaffected countries

Sri Lanka is focusing on attracting tourists from countries unaffected by the Middle East conflict, the President’s Media Division stated.

The discussion, chaired by Minister Vijitha Herath, reviewed challenges faced by the tourism sector amid the global energy situation.

Attention was also given to fuel supply, tourist arrivals, hotel standards and ongoing projects including the Beira Lake cleaning programme.
