Seylan Bank’s Heartfelt Contribution Fuels Hope for Apeksha Hospital’s Young Patients

The staff of Seylan Bank recently contributed half a day’s salary, amounting to Rs. 7.7 million, to the children’s ward at Apeksha Hospital. Aimed at strengthening accessibility to resources for the hospital, the donated funds were used to procure IV Asparaginase 3750 IU (Hamsyl) and IV Terumo infusion Sets 200 Nos, two highly effective drugs with an 80% success rate in aiding the recovery of children suffering from leukaemia. 

The drugs are reputed to have a significantly higher chance of treating the illness, consequently offering a more potent fighting chance compared to other treatment options. Additionally, a single vial of IV Asparaginase 3750 IU (Hamsyl) can treat up to three average-sized children at a time, an advantage that ensures the hospital can continue to treat patients. The purchase of the drugs marks a brighter future for the hospital’s treatment of children recovering from the challenging health condition.
