The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the shortlist of nominees for the Player of the Tournament award at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, with several standout performers recognised ahead of the final.
England all-rounder Will Jacks has been nominated after scoring 226 runs and taking nine wickets in eight matches, playing a key role in England’s campaign with four Player of the Match awards.
Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan also made the shortlist after a record-breaking tournament in which he scored 383 runs at an average of 76.60 and a strike rate of 160.25. Farhan became the first player to score two centuries in a single edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup.
South Africa’s Lungi Ngidi earned a nomination after claiming 12 wickets in seven matches with an economy rate of 7.19, while teammate Aiden Markram was recognised for scoring 286 runs across eight matches, including three half-centuries.
New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra was also shortlisted after contributing with both bat and ball, taking 11 wickets and scoring 128 runs in eight matches.
USA pacer Shadley van Schalkwyk made the list after taking a tournament-high 13 wickets in just four matches during the group stage.
New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert, who scored 274 runs in eight matches, including a key half-century in the semi-final, also received a nomination.
India’s Sanju Samson completes the shortlist after scoring 232 runs in four matches at a strike rate of over 200, including match-winning innings in the Super Eight stage and the semi-final.
Fans can vote for the Player of the Tournament through the ICC’s official platforms ahead of the tournament final.
