Future Lanka Research and Development Foundation Signs MOU with XpressJobs to Empower Sri Lankan Youth with Career Pathways

The Future Lanka Research and Development Foundation (FLRDF), Sri Lanka’s premier educational consulting and career guidance network, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with XpressJobs, the nation’s leading recruitment technology platform. This partnership aims to revolutionize career guidance and employment opportunities for Sri Lankan students, helping them identify and achieve their career aspirations while bridging the gap between education and industry needs.

The MOU was signed on 26th November 2024 by Dayan Baduge, Director of FLRDF, and     Dr. Oshadie Korale, Co-Founder and COO of XpressJobs, marking a significant milestone in youth empowerment and skill development in Sri Lanka.

Through its flagship program, SkillUp Sri Lanka, FLRDF has already made strides in equipping Sri Lankan youth with real-world skills, industry insights, and pathways to thrive in a rapidly evolving global workforce. This national youth empowerment initiative focuses on aligning education with modern workforce demands shaped by AI, automation, and technology while supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This partnership integrates XpressJobs’ recruitment solutions into FLRDF’s career guidance mission. A new dedicated Job Portal on the FLRDF website features four key segments: https://futurelanka.lk/jobs.html

  1. Jobs for School Leavers – Targeting students transitioning after O/Ls and A/Ls.
  2. Internships – Connecting undergraduates and graduates to career-building opportunities.
  3. Vocational Jobs – Highlighting opportunities for NVQ, technical school, and hospitality graduates.
  4. Remote Jobs – Introducing flexible work options, especially for women re-entering the workforce.

This initiative will also bring XpressJobs’ existing agreements with industry leaders to the table, ensuring students supported by FLRDF benefit from free NVQ programs, stipends, and pathways to permanent employment. These agreements are designed to enhance students' employability by offering skills-based opportunities tailored to current market needs.

FLRDF Director Dayan Baduge remarked:
"Our partnership with XpressJobs underscores our commitment to bridging the gap between education and employment. Together, we aim to provide the tools and opportunities Sri Lankan youth need to excel in a competitive global economy."

Dr. Oshadie Korale, Co-Founder/COO of XpressJobs, added:
"This collaboration is about more than providing job opportunities; it’s about shaping futures. By integrating our recruitment technology with FLRDF’s career guidance programs, we’re ensuring that students have a clear, supported path to success."

By combining FLRDF’s career guidance expertise with XpressJobs’ technological innovations, this partnership ensures students can seamlessly transition into skill-based employment opportunities while raising awareness of non-traditional career paths, such as NVQ certifications and remote work.
