Five teams vie for honours in under 15 Youth League

Five provincial teams, namely Colombo North, Colombo South, Dambulla, Galle and Kandy, will compete in the under 15 Sri Lanka Youth League (SLYL which will commrmce on November 21 , The semi-finals will be worked off on November 28 with the final on November 30 .

Prima Group Sri Lanka has partnered with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to sponsor this tournament organized by Sri Lanka Cricket, under its National Pathway Program,me with the objective of identifying promising young cricketers at an early stage.

Since 2007, Prima Group Sri Lanka has been the proud official sponsor of the Prima U15 SLYL tournament, which has served as a platform for thousands of young cricketers to represent their districts and, subsequently, their provinces. Many talented cricketers, both past and present, who represent the National Cricket Team have had their beginnings at this tournament.

The Tournament, will be played in several venues in Colombo, commencing on November 21. The venues where the games will be played are Colombo University Ground, Mercantile Cricket Association Ground, Thurstan College and Royal College Grounds.

Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket, said: This is an important tournament in our annual development calendar and done in order to harness the future generation of our cricketers, and we value the continuous partnership by the Prima Group.”
