Capital Alliance Holdings Limited (CSE: CALH) officially commenced trading on the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) this morning (May 30), following a highly successful IPO earlier this month.
The company marked its entry with a ceremonial bell ringing at the CSE Trading Floor, where Chairman Dinesh de Zoysa rang the ceremonial bell to open trading, joined by CSE Chairman Dilshan Weerasekara and other distinguished guests.
A total of 2 billion ordinary voting shares of Capital Alliance Holdings were listed on the Main Board today.
The company’s IPO, launched on May 8, was oversubscribed on its opening day. Although only 157.5 million shares were offered, the issue drew applications for 2.33 billion shares, amounting to over Rs. 23.3 billion in total demand.
During the first hour of trading, shares of Capital Alliance Holdings traded in the range of Rs. 14.00 to Rs. 15.00.
