Cambridge announces June 2024 exam results in Sri Lanka

Thousands of students across Sri Lanka receive Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level results

 

 Cambridge International Education today released the results from its largest-ever exam series to students in Sri Lanka and around the world. More than 631,000 Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level students at 5261 schools in 140 countries have receive their results from the June 2024 exam series. Student numbers have increased by 11% on last year.

 

In total, students made over 1.6 million exam entries in the June 2024 series – a 9% increase on last year.

 

The sciences, Mathematics and English continue to be the most popular subjects globally across Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level. Students in Sri Lanka follow this trend; however, exam entries also show that business and computer science are popular as students seek out a broad range of skills for the future.

 

In Sri Lanka, the most popular subjects at Cambridge O Level and IGCSE are English Language, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Biology.

 

At Cambridge International AS & A Level, the most popular subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Business.
