Baurs appoints Gehan Seneviratne as new Board Director Alternate

In addition to this esteemed position reflecting well with his unwavering dedication and exceptional leadership skills, Seneviratne will continue to serve as the Director of Baur Life Sciences (Pvt.) Ltd, a prominent subsidiary of A. Baur & Co. (Pvt.) Ltd. His dual responsibilities underscore his pivotal role in steering both organizations towards sustained growth and innovation.

Gehan's professional journey is further distinguished by his diverse experiences at GlaxoSmithKline, Merck Sharpe & Dohme, and Baur Life Sciences, showcasing his deep expertise and strong leadership in the pharmaceutical industry. His visionary approach has driven the successful launch of several innovative products, earning him recognition as a respected thought leader in the pharmaceutical industry.

Gehan Seneviratne brings extensive experience to his role, having held numerous leadership positions across various institutions. His roles include serving as a Member for the Sri Lanka Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry (SLCPI) and holding key positions in the Sri Lanka Chamber of Medical Devices Industry (SLCMDI), such as Director, Chairman of Public Relations, Secretary, and Vice President. Additionally, Gehan has held several positions in the Pharma Promoters Association of Sri Lanka (PPA) as Honorable Secretary and President.

Gehan is also a member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID). He holds a Master of Business Administration (International Business) from Edith Cowan University, Australia, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). He has reached the final stage at the Institute of Certified Management Accountants Australia (CMA Australia) and is a Certified Professional Marketer (Asia) and a Member of Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of Sri Lanka (CPM Sri Lanka).

Furthermore, Gehan has completed a General Management Diploma Course at the National University of Singapore (NUS), a Certification in Business Model Innovation from BMI Lab, and a Certificate in Strategic Decision Making and Building Great Brands from GSK Academy. His educational background also includes a Diploma in Computer Studies at IDM, and a Diploma in Business Management from ICBT Campus. He is a proud alumnus of St. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia.
