99x to Drive QA Innovation Across Borders at Quality Week 2025

Quality Week 2025, organised by 99x through its Colombo Quality Camp initiative, is set to bring together Quality Assurance professionals, industry experts, and thought leaders for an engaging and insightful five-day virtual conference from February 17th to 21st, 2025 running daily from 5.00pm to 6.30pm. As the world of quality assurance evolves faster than ever, demanding adaptability, innovation, and continuous learning, this year marks a milestone, as the event will be open to an international audience for the first time, offering global participation and an expanded platform for knowledge-sharing across borders. 

As the strategic partner, 99x is committed to fostering innovation, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing in quality assurance ensuring that Sri Lanka’s QA community stays ahead of emerging technological shifts and industry challenges. The theme ‘QA Evolution -Adapting to Change and New Challenges’, Quality Week 2025 will feature discussions on AI-driven testing, automation, security, and the future of quality engineering.  

Attendees can expect practical insights and real-world experiences from a diverse lineup of speakers, including international experts like Júlio de Lima, QA Manager at Capco, who will discuss AI-driven approaches to API testing. Filip Hric, DevRel, Tester, Developer, and Consultant will talk about avoiding flaky tests, and Al Goodall, Test Manager at Savings, Chetwood Bank, will share insights on understanding a company’s needs. Gil Zilberfeld, CTO at TestinGil, will explore API exploratory testing with Postman, while Jon Bach, an independent consultant, will highlight the crucial dimensions of shifting out in testing. 

From 99x, Chatura Bashika, Senior Software Engineer, will present on how Playwright fixtures can address testing challenges. Mihiri Lekamge, Associate QA Architect, will discuss the strategic role of exploratory testing in continuous delivery. Kanishka Abeykoon, Security Practitioner, will speak about building trust and confidence through QA, and Prasadie Senadheera, Manager - Process and Compliance will focus on privacy by design and default from a tester’s point of view. 

In addition, industry experts like Janith Gunasekara, Head of Quality Engineering at Circles will tackle the balance between speed and quality in automation, while Buddhika Tillekaratne, QA Architect and Saneth Abeykoon, QA Lead from eBuilder will talk about advancing QA for data pipelines, Dushan Bhagya, QA Lead at Codegen International Pvt Ltd will discuss the test automation tools and skills and Dulanga Weragama, Senior Software QA Engineer at Sana Commerce will discuss accessibility testing for inclusive digital experiences.
