Sri Lanka Embassy in Riyadh in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLBFE) organized the first ever participation of 25 Sri Lankan foreign employment agencies at the Saudi Human Resources and Manpower Expo held in Riyadh from October 27-30, 2024.
Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ameer Ajwad inaugurated the Sri Lanka pavilion. Ambassador Ajwad underscored the highly potential Labour market for Sri Lankan skilled manpower in Saudi Arabia with the unfolding new opportunities under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 agenda and urged Sri Lanka manpower recruitment agencies to focus in this promising sector.
Ambassador also encouraged Sri Lanka manpower recruitment agencies to make use of the agreement signed between Sri Lanka Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission and Takamol Holdings of Saudi Arabia on Skill Verification Program which offers 23 skilled Labour categories for the Employment and which aims at improving the professional competence of employees in the Saudi Labour market, easing the recruitment process of skilled workers from Sri Lanka.
The largest human resources and recruitment companies in the Kingdom and a wide range of international presence from European, Asian, and African countries were featured at this popular Expo dedicated to manpower and Labour services.
Deputy General Manager (Logistics & License) B.A Rohini and Actg. Manager (Marketing) E.A.P.M Dewasurendra participated at the Expo representing the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE). Counsellor of Employment and Welfare at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh R.K.K.M.P Randeniya coordinated the visit of Sri Lanka delegation.
